Play Ball showcases a father and a son playing catch. The son named Salvador is 7 years old, he has a huge passion for baseball. After school he comes home and practices baseball in the backyard. If Salvador is not playing baseball he’s watching baseball highlights or playing with his siblings. His father, Diego, has been working late hours at his main job but also working a second job. Even though Diego is tired he goes out of his way to practice with his son.
Our story takes place in their backyard, where Diego has put a makeshift pitchers mound and home plate. The backyard has nicely trimmed grass, and dirt spots from the occasional baseball training. Salvador loves the backyard as it’s peaceful and quiet with birds chirping, and cicadas singing. This is what baseball summers sound like.

Salvador learned an important lesson today, which was no matter what his father will be there for him. Even after working 2 shifts Diego, came home and still played ball with him. The happiness it brought Salvador made Diego realize he is rich in life.
