⭐️⭐️

De La Pena, Bryan. Bar Wall. 12 Sep 2023.

You look at your phone and it reads 11:37 pm, knowing you have work at 6am tomorrow you decided to call it a night. You grab your things and leave your sister’s house after the monthly family game night. You tell them goodnight and walk to your car, as you wait for the car to heat up you shuffle through your phone for music. You have been idling in the driveway for 3 minutes and still haven’t found what to listen to. So instead you start your journey home without any music.

The commute is 20 minutes and after the 4th block you decide you need music. Your phone was doing you no good so you turn on the radio. As you scroll through the local radio station something catches your ears. It was different and mysterious, something that isn’t heard on a regular broadcast. You turn the dial to 106 FM as the song finishes.

Then an odd radio bumper starts to play. It’s introduces the station as DS 106 Radio a local college station. The bumper was unique even for your taste but now you are waiting to hear more from this station. As soon as you get to a stop you get on your phone to find the DS 106 social media. What was a 20 minute drive felt more like 5 minutes after being hooked to this new radio station you just found. You get home and the radio bumper plays once again making you nod your head of approval.
