Week 2 Design Blitz

De La Pena, Bryan. Coloring Book.

Form, Function, and Message

This everyday item illustrates its intended design flawlessly. By using color as its primary composition it displays the relationship between a crayon and coloring book. The composition strengthen its function and message.

De La Pena, Bryan. Drinks.

Balance

I took this photo to illustrate how unbalance looks. The placement of the red drink disrupted the symmetrical composition by taking the viewers focus. The perspective is unpleasant to the eye, there is negative space on top of the frame where the bottom is cluttered.

De La Pena, Bryan. Rocks.

Minimalism & Use of Space

The framing of the photo prioritize the focus of space within the photo. The viewer’s focus is now in the rocks. It doesn’t execute the minimalist due to the overcrowded framing. If the rocks were to be removed it will clearly depict a minimalism look.

De La Pena, Bryan. Small Heart.

Proportion

The comparison between the Bose speaker and heart shape is clearly visible. True proportion is depicted naturally by how the items were placed together. There was no need to change its composition to create an illusion of proportion.
